Designed for Scanning Lasers

Scanning Laser Workstations combine the flexibility of a scanned laser beam delivery with a configurable multi-axis part motion system typically configured with high-pulse rate lasers.

  • Compatible with a broad range of low and mid-power lasers

  • Scanning system optics to suit the application

  • Configurable motion system takes advantage of scanner coverage area (typically 100 × 100 mm)

  • Laser source located inside the workstation

  • Single user interface for all machine control, including laser, scanner and part-motion system

Configurable Motion System

With a selection of stage systems, customers purchase the exact capabilities for their specific applications:.

  • X-Y Stages Optional – 250 × 250 mm

  • Z Stage Optional – manual and automatic options

  • Rotary Stage options for A or C axes

  • Requirements for additional motion axes are minimized by matching scanner capabilities to the process

Broad Range of Lasers for Process Optimization

All material-laser interactions are different. Choose the best Piptox laser source to match the specific application:

  • Infrared CW and QCW lasers – thin film metal welding or foil cutting

  • Infrared nanosecond lasers – metal foil cutting, welding, marking and engraving

  • Green and UV nanosecond lasers – processing polymers, glass and ceramics

  • Picosecond and femtosecond lasers – typically for very heat sensitive materials, cutting, ablation and marking

Compact Footprint

Ideal for environments with limited space:

  • 840 mm (33 in) × 1240 mm (48 in) footprint

  • Fits through standard sized doorways for easy roll-in installation

  • Lasers up to 1500 W typically mounted inside cabinet

  • Lasers up to 700 W air cooled – requires no additional floor space for chillers

Powerful Control Software

  • Integrated laser, scanner and motion system control

  • Vision recognition for accurate pattern placement

  • Support of process variables and conditional programming for easy teaching of complex applications

  • HMI follows SEMI E95 standards
